I made these the other night and discovered a few things about myself; I don't think I've ever had buttercream frosting before and I prefer something more lemony.
The frosting had a great flavor but the cupcakes were a little bland for me. They also tasted muffin like (but were lots more work than muffins) and a little dense. I think I'm just looking for a lemon cupcake recipe with the same texture and flavor of Martha Stewart's Devil's Food Cupcakes, which I'm making on Friday for a baby shower on Saturday. A recipe that will tickle my taste buds. Have you tried any amazing lemon cupcake recipes? (and isn't the light that enters my kitchen around 5 pm awesome?)
