Shortcake Knickers

I sewed these adorable knickers up last night during the commercial breaks of "The Office." I used this excellent tutorial and pattern. I think I need to make several more. I might experiment with skinny elastic instead of shirring. Shirring was remarkably painless but the bottom is a little tight on Ansley's legs.

Here she is trying them on last night (and laughing, b/c "The Office" was pretty funny):

They were perfect for a great day at the park!

  2. The knickers are darling. I keep wanting to try some for my little girl but haven't done it yet.

The pictures you posted below of the sky are awesome...there is nothing more beautiful than a really great sunset.

Also---I saw on your profile you are from Ammon--my grandparents were from Ammon and I spent a lot of time up there as a kid, just seeing the name of the city reminded me of good times and people.

  4. Absolutely darling! I love the 'denim' knit fabric you used :) I can tell you did a great job! Thanks for sharing. I am an Office fan too...wonder how it's going to be without Michael Scott?
